Making some changes to my F-body, still waiting on a Fays2 Watts link and debating on doing a CTS-V brake upgrade. I’ll have to go up to 18s to make them fit properly as I don’t believe my 17” Speedline Mistrals will clear them safely.
What came in:
•UMI poly/rotojoint LCA’s from Sam Strano
•Spohn Spherical Sway Bar End Links (been through two sets of endlinks supplied with swaybars, these shouldn’t bind, which is what killed the previous sets)
•Founder’s Performance LCA relocation brackets

Nice! I love it when a big box of parts comes in, especially ones I’ve been waiting on for a while. My F-body is quite a bit older and wouldn’t know what to do with such fancy schmancy parts.

Yeah, surprisingly enough, I’ve owned this car for 13 of its 15 years. It’s been a labor of love, but a lot of sweat, tears and blood drawn. I was wanting to go turbo but I suddenly made a shift towards finishing off the suspension/braking.
I guess I see how much people break down or have driveability issues at times with their turbo’d cars and I’m like, “Nah, I just wanna go racing.”

I have a Fays2 on my S197. Fantastic upgrade.

Very nice man. The only thing stopping me from doing the V brake upgrade is my 17” wheels. I may upgrade my wheels at some point though.

Yeah, that’s my only hangup. I love my current 17s and have been hard pressed to find anything in 18” that is similar. 18” 5-spokes are almost impossible to nail down for our bolt pattern :(

Yeah, I’m looking forward to it. I got compliments on the car this last year at the PCA autorcross event. The car handled really well and was very well composed, just down on power which is being remedied right now.
This should help put it on an even higher level. The changing roll center was apparent in trackside pics and I was encountering brake hop at the end of the session.

I really wish someone offered a centrifugal SC kit for the 3.8 cars. I love me a turbo, but like you said, the maintenance and constant tinkering that is usually associated with most home made kits is a real turn off. A well built sc kit would minimize those issues I think.
Cant wait to see how your car responds to a watts link too.

Surprisingly, there was a batch of Powerdyne P1SC brackets made in a group buy and there was a company in the early 2000s that did the BD-11 which was...okay.
It’s a pity GM never did follow through with their supercharged V6 mule they were testing around ‘97...

Would be awesome if you could track down one of those brackets. But it may be easier to find Sasquatch.

Rebild a BD-11 with the kit from 928 Motorsports

Every once in a while a BD-11 comes up for sale on Ebay. I’d love to snag one for my fox Cougar, but my transmission would retaliate by wiping a gear or two....
